Models Own One Night Stand- Swatch & Review

*Press Sample*
Welcome back everyone, we have hit that bump in the week and now its just a few days until the weekend. Today's post is HUGE, I was recently contacted by Models Own to try out their new chrome mirror polish which is releasing Friday 14th July. So let us take a look at this extremely unique polish.

So first things first, this stuff is total magic! We have all seen and loved those fun chrome powders but this is a polish, which means no need for gels, no lamps and no powder. Just you and two special little bottles which will create a very eye catching mirror chrome mani.

To create the One Night Stand look you will need two things, the two in one base and top coat and the polish. First you apply the base coat to all your nails, this has a milky cloudy look to it so once it has gone completely clear you know it is fully dry.

Once your base is fully dry you can apply the mirror polish, all you need is one coat to get the look you see in the swatch photos. It was very easy to apply and dried quite quickly, my jaw actually dropped when applying this as the mirror effect was instantaneous. You then use a thin layer of the base/top coat to seal everything in, it does go slightly cloudy when first applied but completely clear when fully dry.

I was so impressed with this system, it did exactly what it said it would do and was so simple to use. This duo will be available to purchase from the Models Own website on Friday and in their stores from Thursday 20th July. The duo costs £14.99, I would say this would be a great polish to wear for a night on the town. After 24 hours I did begin to see a slight dulling of the mirror effect and some tip wear. So it is definitely one night type of polish for special occasions. I have a hen do coming up and I will definitely be wearing this polish!

I will link Models Own down below with all their social media, I will also be uploading a video onto my Instagram so you can see it in action.

Remember this polish will be available Friday and I have a feeling it will sell out fast.

I would love to know what you guys think? Would you wear this polish whilst dancing the night away? Let me know in the comments.

As always have a fabulous day lovelies, and I will chat to you again on Friday. Lots more fun goodies to share with you.

  2. Is it just me, or is this still not quite as shiny as the powders? I love the idea of a polish to get the effect, but I don't know if it's possible to get a truly smooth application to get the full mirror effect.

  10. Camera technology has advanced so much that just about anyone can take good photos. Not necessarily great photos, because that's more to do with composition, subject matter, the effective use of light and shadow etc. However, if there's one item that helps in taking better shots, it's the humble tripod. Many of us believe that a tripod is nothing but an extra item that helps us stop camera shake. With high ISO capabilities in new cameras, with increased shutter speeds particularly in low light conditions, then why do we need a tripod? This article looks at the many different ways a tripod can make us better photographers or at the very least, increase our capabilities in using a camera. tripod for phone
