Opulent Essences New Chameleon Polishes- Swatch & Review

Image
*Press Sample* Hello my lovely readers, I hope you have all had a great week. Most of mine has been spent running around after my little girl. Now that she is up on two legs there is just no stopping her, as I type this she is running off into her room to create some kind of mischief. Today's post is all about the two brand new multi chrome polishes you can now pick up from Opulent Essences. Recently Sharon messaged both me and Becca from A Certain Becca Nails to see if we would like to swatch some of her new polishes. I was over the moon and felt completely honored to have the chance to do this. The two polishes I have for you today are the brand new multi chromes that have recently been added to the shop. I am not going to lie these were a pain in the bum to photograph, I tried to capture the shift as much as I possibly could. The first polish is called Raspberry Sorbet Chameleon, this is a multi chrome polish that shifts from a dusky pink to gold to pur

Spring Fling Manicure Using Danglefoot Nail polish Moonriver

Hello my lovely readers, I hope you are all having a great week so far mine has been full of nail mail so I am one happy nail addict right now. Today's short post is going to be my simple elegant manicure using one of the beautiful polishes from the Spring Fling box. The polish I chose to use today is Moonriver, this gorgeous sky blue crelly was the perfect colour for my Spring manicure. This is fully opaque in 2 coats and so easy to work with on the nail, it looks gorgeous in the sunlight and the subtle pink shimmer is stunning when in the right lighting.  Because Moonriver is so pretty on its own I didn't want to do too much to take the eye away from the actual polish. For my stamping I used Mundo De Unas white and an image from the Yay Spring! plate from Uber Chic, this image can be used as both a french tip and closer to the cuticle as a half moon.  To make the nail really pop I added a silver rhinestone between the stamping and my cuticle, to stick this o

Spring Fling UK Indie Box-Swatch & Review

Hello my lovely readers! I hope you have all had a fab weekend, it was my 7 year Anniversary so I had a lovely night in with my boyfriend whilst my Mum watched Lexi at her house. A very chilled and relaxing weekend, I also used my free time to swatch these 3 beautiful polishes that came in the Spring Fling indie box. This is an all UK indie brand box, 3 fabulous UK indie brands collaborated to come up with this really unique box for Spring. The 3 brands that came together to create this box are 'Ard As Nails, Danglefoot nail polish and Luna Loves Lacquer. Inside the box we had 3 unique limited edition polishes and a hand cream from Soap Dodger who also own 'Ard As Nails. It came in some lovely packaging and the polishes were well secured on their journey.  The polish from 'Ard As Nails is called Blushed, this is a terracotta linear holographic, it takes two coats to get full opacity. The holo in this polish is quite subtle but it has a easy to work with formula

Danglefoot Nail polish Limited edition Captain Swan Duo- Swatch & Review

Image
Hello my lovely readers, I hope you have all been having a good week so far. I can not believe that tomorrow is Friday the days just seem to be flying by so fast. Today's post is an extra special one for me as I actually helped design these stunning polishes with the fabulous Hayley from Danglefoot nail polish. As you may or may not know I am a massive fan of the TV show Once Upon A Time, I pretty much love all the characters but my two favourite are definitely Emma Swan and the very yummy Captain Hook. I love the chemistry between these two actors, and I can not wait to see what the show comes up with for these two in the future. These two stunning polishes are called Hook and Swan, I contacted Hayley a few weeks ago asking for some custom polishes and instead of these just being available to me she released them as a limited edition duo in her shop. First up is the stunning hook also known as Killian Jones, me and Hayley both agreed that this polish should be a go

Opulent Essences In The Mood Swatch & Review

Hello my lovely readers, I hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend. Me and Lexi didn't get up to much just a trip to town and a delicious roast dinner at my Nan's house on Sunday. The polish that I have to show you today is one of my favourite kinds. I love wearing thermal polishes and can not stop putting my nail in and out of cold water to see the colour change. Today's thermal polish is called In The Mood and was created by the lovely Sharon and Zoe from Opulent Essences. Let's get into the swatches and see just what this stunning polish can do. I loved working with this polish it applied really easily and reached full opacity in 3 coats. The formula is more jelly like than creme so it looks very squishy on the nail.  When this beautiful polish is warm it takes on this gorgeous bubblegum pink colour.  After the polish has been exposed to a cold temperature it changes to a deep royal purple. The change in the colour is so fast I couldn't capture

For Your Nails Only Tantalizing Turquoise Spring Mani

Image
Hello my lovely readers! I hope you have all had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend. Thankfully Lexi is now feeling much better, she is back to her usual bubbly self which is great to see. Today's quick post is a Spring manicure using the beautiful turquoise polish from For Your Nails Only's Enchanted Holo collection. This gorgeous turquoise creme that leans more green than blue was the perfect base for my Spring time manicure. As this polish leans more on the mint side I felt it would go perfectly paired with some daisies and a chequered picnic blanket pattern. Definitely makes me think of Spring.   For the daisy pattern I used Born Pretty Store's plate number 46, this was perfect for the look I was going for. I stamped them on using Born Pretty white polish and used Opulent Essences Lemon and a dotting tool to add the middle of the flower. Then to finish off my manicure on my other nails I stamped the picnic blanket image from Uber Chic collec

Hello my lovely readers, I hope you are all having a good week so far. Sorry for the lack of posts over the last few days, my little girl has a viral infection and is very clingy so doing my nails hasn't been possible. I am hoping today's post will make up for that, I recently purchased For Your Nails Only's first collection of nail polishes. I have reviewed Sharon's amazing cuticle balm before so could not wait to get my hands on this beautiful collection called The Enchanted Holo collection, let's get straight into the swatches!  The Enchanted Holo collection consists of 6 stunning polishes all containing lots of glitter and holographic goodness. All polishes are 5 free, animal and cruelty free as well as vegan friendly, there is a lovely array of colours to choose from and each one is very unique.  When I received my parcel everything was wrapped up nice and secure, I love the pink and purple baggies that she uses and she kindly sent me one of h

Danglefoot Mani Bomb Test & Review

Hello my lovely readers! I hope you have all been having a lovely weekend, my little girl has a viral infection so we haven't been able to do much. Just snuggle up under a warm blanket with lots of fluids and plenty of hugs. Today's quick post is going to be about a lovely mani bomb that Hayley from Danglefoot nail polish sent to me with my last purchase. This is just a sample of the mani bombs she has now begun to sell in her shop. The mani bomb that Hayley kindly sent to me was scented with citrus, I was really excited when I opened my parcel and I was blasted with the smell of citrusy goodness. This definitely had a very strong scent but it wasn't overpowering, it was well balanced and just simply smelled yummy.  First I removed my manicure with nail varnish remover and gave my nails a quick file, I then got a lunch box sized container and filled this with warm water. I placed the mani bomb into the water and it immediately started to fizz and release the g

Hello my lovely readers, I hope you have all had a fabulous week. Mine has been full of bugs not only was I ill for most of last week and the beginning of this one but now my little girl has caught the bug. I really hope it doesn't stick around as long as it did for me. Today's post is a follow up from the last, in that post I showed you full swatches of the  Taste The Rainbow collection from Opulent Essences . I had so many different ideas for manicures that I ended up just sitting down and letting the polish guide me. This is my first marbled manicure to create this look I used all of the polishes from the collection except blueberry as I felt it would be a bit too dark and over power the lighter colours. For my ring finger and pointer I dropped a few drops of Orange, Strawberry and Lemon onto the top of my jumbo stamper head. I then marbled them together by smooshing the stamper down so the colours blended together. I then took the stamper and stamped the blended colou

Opulent Essences Taste The Rainbow Collection- Swatch and Review

Hello my lovely readers, I am so sorry I haven't managed to write up a post recently. Unfortunately the dreaded bug took a hold of me and was refusing to let go, just looking at a computer screen would make my head pound and my eyes water. Hopefully today's awesome post will make up for it, the collection I bring to you today is from the wonderful Sharon and Zoe over at Opulent Essences. These ladies are always coming up with some fab polishes and their neon collection is no exception. When Sharon first posted bottle shots of these beauties the first thing that came to mind were Skittles, me and Becca from A Certain Becca Nails decided we would call them Taste The Rainbow and luckily for us Sharon loved the name and now we have this stunning collection each named after a fruity treat you can find in a Skittles packet. This gorgeous collection consists of 6 neon creme polishes that look stunning on the nail and make you want to reach for your sunglasses and hit the beach.
