Shine Bright Like A Diamond Mani

Hello my lovely readers! I hope you have all had a lovely bank holiday weekend, most of mine was spent laying down as my back gave way on me the other day and I am finding it really hard to move. Fingers crossed things will improve soon, today's manicure is using my goodies from this months Meebox. I wanted to try and do a Rhianna manicure and I took inspiration from one of her songs. Can you guess which one?

I used Danglefoot's Higitus Figitus as my base colour, I love this polish it works so well when you want a black manicure but that gorgeous holographic glitter takes it to the next level. Formula is fantastic and applies to the nail really easily, it is fully opaque in 2 coats.

For my stamping I used three different Uber Chic plates, for the large diamond stamping pattern I used collection 2 plate 2. This beautiful full diamond pattern went really well with the Danglefoot polish. The silver stamping polish I used was from Born Pretty and it picked up the image really well. For my accent nail I used the words bright from collection 3 plate 1, I did want to stamp the words shine but even with my vast array of plates I could not find any that had that wording. For the diamond about the 'I' I used very small diamond from collection 2 plate 2.

I am really pleased with how this manicure turned out, it definitely fits the Rhianna song 'Shine bright like a diamond'. Meebox did such a great job with this box and I can not wait to see what they come up with in the June box.

I hope you have enjoyed my quick Meebox mani post, I would love to know your thoughts and if any of you know of a stamping plate that has the word 'shine' please tell me. As always I hope you are all having a wonderful nail day and I will chat to all your fabulous people soon.

May Meebox- RiRi Unboxing & Review

Hello my lovely readers! I hope you have all had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend. Today's post is another Meebox unboxing and review, this month Meebox announced that their theme would be Rhianna. I am not a huge fan of her but I do like some of her songs and her nails are always on point in her music videos. Meebox treated us to three nail polishes, a nail strengthening base coat and 2 nail art items. So lets jump straight into this RiRi box!

I was over the moon to see the brands that Meebox had chosen for this box, my eyes drifted straight to that gorgeous Danglefoot and I was blown away when I realised that they had chosen a Zoya polish too.

First up is this unique grey creme from Zoya, this is called Leah and has a satin finish it took 2 coats to reach full opacity. This polish isn't personally my cup of tea just because as you all probably know by now I am not a fan of nudes and dull colours. The pictures above are without top coat so you can see that full satin finish, don't manipulate this one too much or it will start to look streaky. You can purchase Leah from Nail Polish Direct for £8.95.

The second polish in our RiRi box is this classic red creme from WAH London, this is called Love My Team and is fully opaque in just 1 coat. It applied easily and did not leave any staining on my cuticles or on the nail when removed. You can pick this polish up from the WAH London website for £9.

The last polish in this months box was from one of my favourite UK indie brands Danglefoot nail polish. So excited to see one of Hayley's awesome polishes added to the Meebox line up. This polish is called Higitus Figitus, I did have this in a mini so it was great to know I now have a full size bottle. My friend swiped the mini off me the moment she knew I had a dupe, This is a black jelly base with linear holographic glitter, it takes 2 coats to reach full opacity. This isn't available in the Danglefoot Etsy Shop at the moment if it was it would probably be £6.75 for a 12ml bottle, there are some gorgeous new releases that I would definitely recommend checking out whilst the stock lasts.

Also in this months box is this nail strengthening base coat from OPI, this Nail Envy base coat is suppose to strengthen natural nails with hydrolyzed wheat protein and calcium. I probably won't be using this myself as I love to stick with my Nailtiques formula 2, but my friend uses this a lot and her nails grow quite quickly and very strong. This is a mini bottle 3.75ml you can get this from Nail Polish Direct for £1.95

One of the nail art items is from Sparkly nails, these spike nail art studs are very on trend and perfect for a Rhianna mani. These cost £1.20 from the Sparkly Nails website.

The last item in the May Meebox are these cuticle tattoos, these take your manicures to the next level and would be great for a night out. These are $6 from the RAD nails website, this comes with two sheets of tattoos and applies just like any other temporary tattoo.

Overall even though some of the colours are not to my particular taste I still think this box was fantastic and perfect for the theme. I am sure Rhianna would love to rock all of these items on her own nails. This box cost me £20 and the goods inside add up to just over £30 so still a massive bargain.

For those of you who don't know Meebox is a nail polish subscription service, for £20 a month you will receive 4 nail polishes and other nail items. I have never been disappointed by any of their boxes they pick fantastic brands and do a great job with the theme. I will leave the link to their website and social media accounts below.

I hope you have enjoyed this unboxing, I would love to know which products from this months box were your favourite?? I will be posting my RiRi mani shortly until then have a fab nail day and I will chat to all you wonderful people again soon.

Frenzy Polish- If The Apocalypse Comes Beep Me

Hello my lovely readers! I hope you all had a lovely relaxing weekend, mine was spent running around after my daughter. She has got to the stage now where she can walk all by herself and is completely refusing to hold any ones hand. So I have invested in a little Ladybird bag with some toddler reins just so I can actually keep up with her, fingers crossed. For today's post I have an indie brand I have never tried before, Frenzy polish. In the big nail swap that I did with Becca from A Certain Becca Nails, she gifted me with one of the polishes from the TV Frenzy collection. I knew the moment she asked me what I would want it would have to be the polish based off of my all time favourite TV series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

For this manicure I wanted to do Buff proud, luckily I managed to find the company that had some Buffy water decals that I feel tied the whole manicure together.

This stunning polish is called If The Apocalypse Comes Beep Me, it has a gorgeous deep purple jelly base with flakies and micro glitter. For my swatch photo I used 3 coats to get full opacity. This is quite sheer but builds up very well, I had no issues with the formula it wasn't too thick or thin, very easy to work with and looks so squishy on the nail.

Once my base colour was completely dry and top coated, I used Born Pretty plate L012 for the white cross stamping image. The stamping polish I used is Mundo De Unas white, I love how crisp and clear this stamps. I sealed in my stamping with some more HK Girl quick dry top coat, I gently glided it over the nail so I didn't smudge any of the design.

The Buffy water decals I brought are from Green Goddess Creations, I picked up quite a few of her beautiful sets and some Helmer Helpers to give me helmer my own personalized look. I am sure I will be using these unique decals again in many different manicure, and I will definitely be making a few more orders. Lovely customer service and very quick shipping, she is on break at the moment but hopefully will be back soon. For the decal I cut it out and soaked it in warm water for about 10 second then slid the black B onto the middle of my nail.

Because the of the dark purple jelly base the water decal isn't completely opaque over the darker colour. It was very easy to use though and went on the nail nicely, I would definitively suggest trying to cut as close to your image as possible just so it look like it blend with the rest of the nail more.

I am super impressed with my first Frenzy polish, it had a great formula and was easy to work with. I will definitely be buying more from her in the future. Frenzy polish is ran by the lovely Rachel she is hoping to be able to ship internationally soon and all of the polish collections she releases are very unique and beautiful. I will leave all of Frenzy polishes store links and social media links down below.

I hope you have enjoyed my Buffy mani post and would love to know your thoughts on Frenzy polish, do you own any? What would be your must have polishes from them? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below.

As always I hope you are all having a fabulous nail day and I will chat to all you lovely people again soon.

Born Pretty French Tip Guides- Manicure & Review

*Purchased With Blogger Discount*

Hello my lovely readers, I hope you have all had a wonderful week and are looking forward to the weekend. I seem to have come down with a bad cold at the moment so all my energy is being used to fight it off. Luckily my boyfriend has ten days holiday coming up so I will have him to help me with Lexi, speaking of the little monster. She is now running around getting into absolutely everything, her vocabulary is expanding and the other day she pointed at my polishes and said Mumma pretties. I was one proud nail polish addict mummy to hear her say that. For today's post I will be using some nail vinyls I recently purchased from The Born Pretty Store using a blogger discount.

For this manicure I used some of the pointed half moon vinyls and 2 new Barry M polishes I recently purchased from Superdrug.

This is a Superdrug exclusive polish from Barry M called Festival Fever, it is a bubblegum pink creme with gold shimmer. This polish is fully opaque in 2 coats and is very easy to apply to the nail, the shimmer translates beautifully. As you can probably see I have been fiddling about with my lighting and background colour recently as I felt when my swatch photo's are taken on a black background it makes them look quite dull.

The Tip Guides I chose come in many different designs, these will be great for all of us that love doing nail art and trying out different methods and effects. There are 16 different packets with different shapes in different sizes. Once my base colour of Festival Fever and my top coat was fully dry I applied the vinyl so that the tip of the triangle was in the center. Make sure your top coat is completely dry before applying these as they will pull up your colour underneath if it is not.

Once I had my vinyl where I wanted it I used Gold Digger from the Barry M Molten Metal collection to colour in the gap between my cuticle and the guide. To get crisp lines I removed the vinyl immediately whilst the polish was wet, and then gently glided my top coat over the top so the design wouldn't smear.

I was really happy with how well these two polishes went together, the tip guides were easy to use and came off nicely the set is priced at £2.99 which is a Bargain!. I would definitely recommend them if you are look for a set of vinyls that can create lots of different looks. I will leave all of the links for the Born Pretty Store and their social media below.

I hope you have enjoyed my triangle half moon mani, I would love to know your thoughts on my change of background? Do you think the swatches are better with the white or the black? As always I hope you are having a fabulous nail day and I chat to all you wonderful people again soon.

Born Pretty Plate 73- Manicure & Review

*Purchased With Blogger Discount*

Hello my lovely readers! I hope you are all having a great week so far and are enjoying the sunny weather. Today's post is a manicure and review using a Born Pretty plate I recently bought with a blogger discount. I was over the moon when Alice from The Born Pretty Store contacted me recently to review some of their amazing products. For those of you who don't know Born Pretty Store is a online beauty store based in China. They sell many different products, make-up, brushes and lots of beautiful nail art supplies at great affordable prices. Today's post is using one of their nail stamping plates, I have full swatches of the plate and a manicure to go along with it.

One of the plates I chose to review was a filled with lots of pretty rose images, I used the plate to create these rose decals to go over Barry M Silver Lining from the Molten Metal line.

All of the Born Pretty plates come with the blue film so that needs to be removed before you can start stamping. Once that is off you can give the plate a quick clean and then begin creating your design. This plate was fantastic it picked up all of the images first time and they came out lovely and crisp using Born Pretty Black stamping polish. As I made decals for this mani I stamped the images down onto my mat and then coloured them in.

Once my decals were coloured in and fully dry I picked them off my mat with some tweezers and applied them to my nail with the help of a thin layer of top coat. I am not a huge fan of flowers being given to me because they normally die the next day. But I am in love with these roses on my nails, Danglefoot's Swan was the perfect red to make these really pop off the metallic silver background.

I love all of the different rose images on this plate and as you can see they all stamp really well and there are many different manicure's that you can create with this plate. You can pick this plate up from the Born Pretty Store website, I will leave all links to their store and their social media sites below. They offer free world wide shipping and have some gorgeous products at fantastic prices.

I was really happy with how this turned out, there is one thing I would love to ask you, when making decals or doing advanced stamping what top coat do you use? The Essence clear polish I used for this seemed to show up over my Barry M base colour even after adding top coat to seal the decals in. If you have any tips or tricks that can help me please leave them down below.

As always I hope you liked this manicure and review, and that you are all having a fabulous nail day. Chat to all you wonderful people again soon, I have plenty more Born Pretty goodies to show you.

Barry M Molten Metals- Swatch & Review

Hello my lovely readers! I hope you have all had a lovely weekend. I need to say a big thank you to all of those who joined in with the M.E & Fibromyalgia awareness mani link-up, and a Big congratulations to Jen who won the custom polishes made by Opulent Essences. Thank you for all your lovely comments and good vibes, it's lovely to know there are so many people out there who care. So today's post is going to be a swatch and review for the brand new Barry M's that were released in the last weeks. The collection I have for you today is the Molten Metals.

These are four chrome effect polishes, with some gorgeous glitter mixed in for that extra bit of bling. I am not always a big fan of metallic polishes but these are really nice. Great formula for all four polishes and very eye catching especially when out in the sun.

The first polish is this beautiful light gold metallic called Gold Digger, this is fully opaque in 2 coats and has some gorgeous glitters in the same colour that make is shine even more.

The next polish is called Bronze Bae, this is a bronze metallic with the same coloured glitters spread throughout. I am never keen with these orangey tones polishes against my skin, but this one didn't seem to wash me out like others do. This is also fully opaque in 2 coats.

The third polish in the collection is called Copper Mine, this is the exact same colour as a 1 pence piece. This also has some lovely glitters spread through out to give it that extra sparkle, it was opaque in 2 coats and had an easy to apply formula.

The last polish in the collection is this beautiful silver metallic called Silver Lining, this is by far my favourite. I love the colour silver I always feel gold tones are too harsh on my skin, all of my jewellery is silver so I was definitely a big fan of this one. This was also opaque in 2 coats, and had an easy to apply formula.

As you can see all of these polishes do stamp however they are much more opaque when over a darker colour. Gold digger is hardly visible when over a white or light colour, the rest are but not as opaque as there foil line was. If I were to use these for stamping it would definitely be over a darker base colour.

All four of these polishes apply really well and even though they have micro glitters mixed in they remove easily from the nail. None of these polishes leave any staining and have that easy to work with formula that Barry M are well known for. These do have the wider paddle type brush, I find this a lot easier to work with and can cover the nail in almost one stroke. I know this brush isn't for everyone, so just be aware if you do get them it will be a wider brush instead of a thin one.

You can pick all four of these polishes up from Superdrug and Boots for £3.99, it is definitely a must have collection for those of us who love that foil metallic looking finish and who love using these for stamping.

I hope you have all enjoyed this review and I would love to know which polish is your favourite? Will you be picking this collection up? Let me know in the comments section down below, as always I hope you are all having a fabulous nail day and I will chat to all you wonderful people again soon.

M.E/ CFS & Fibromyalgia Awareness Day Nail Link-Up

Hello my lovely readers! I hope you are all having a great day, I am having a few bad days health wise at the moment. Today's post is my manicure for M.E & Fibromyalgia awareness day which is on May 12th. For this occasion me and Becca from A Certain Becca Nails have joined up to hold a nail link-up to raise awareness for both of these chronic illnesses. This is a cause close to me as I unfortunately have both of them. My post today will not only be about the nails I created for the link-up but also about the personal experience I have with living with these illnesses on a day to day basis.

For this mani I used the two different awareness colours for these chronic illnesses, M.E is blue and purple is Fibromyalgia. Butterflies and the hope ribbon are also connected with them too, there is also a theory called the spoon theory. This is where we look at our energy levels as if they are spoons, some days we will have more spoons than others and each activity uses up a spoon. Some sufferers find this helps them when they are trying to manage their energy levels, each action uses up a spoon and takes away their energy this could be something as simple as having a shower. For others this is a simple task but for sufferers like me this could use up lots of my energy and leave me feeling terrible afterwards.

Lets get back to the nails for now, for my base colour I used this stunning light blue holographic from KB Shimmer called Purr-fectly Paw-Some, this came out recently in the the new Spring collection. This takes 2 coats to be fully opaque and is one of the most holographic polishes I have in my collection. It applied smoothly and has definitely entered my top 10 polishes, I love this it's blue, it's holo, and amazing!

To add my butterflies I used the water decals from the Nailzopia nail art box, these applied so easily all I had to do was cut out the ones I wanted and then pop them in the water for a few seconds. Once my butterflies were in place I used my Uber Chic collection 3 plate 1 and 3 for the words and the ribbons. My ribbons are stamped with Mundo De Unas purple and Blue, the words were stamped with white. I can't believe just how opaque these stamping polishes are everything always comes out so crisp and clear.

In the picture above are just some of the symptoms I have had from having these two chronic illnesses, they are both also counted as auto immune diseases. I was first diagnosed with M.E also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome when I was 13 years old. I was falling asleep in class, had no energy, felt sick all of the time and was in so much pain. It took doctors over a year to diagnose me, once I was diagnosed I had to learn what I could do and what I couldn't. This was really hard for me as all I wanted to do was lead a normal 13 year old life but that was no longer possible.

Then when I was 18 the doctors also diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia, the two illnesses have so many symptoms in common that it is very hard to tell which one is affection me most each day. Over the years I have learnt to give myself limitations on what I can and can't do. Every single day I wake up and I won't know how I am going to feel, so trying to plan things is not easy. It has limited the amount of physical activities I can do and at this present time there is no cure for either. When I leave the chemist I have a carrier bag full of medication and I am only 24 but my body feels like I'm 60.

I am not saying these are the worst things that can happen to someone because I know they are not. But they are very debilitating, some days it is harder to live with than others. At the end of the day I do feel more people should know about these illnesses, whenever I meet people and they find out I'm ill they always ask what is that? How does it affect you? You don't look ill. These are the usual things that I hear and struggle to explain, that is why I want to raise awareness for both of these conditions. They may not be killing us but that does not mean people shouldn't have more insight on how these affect people every day of their lives.

I know this post is very word heavy and if you have read the whole thing then I send you a massive hug. Hopefully one day doctors will find a cure but for now I hope you have learnt a little bit about how these illnesses affect every day of my life. I will never give up though, yes I am in pain. Yes some days I can hardly get out of bed but no I will not just lay down and take it. I will live my life to the full, I will play with my daughter and when she is older me and her dad will teach her that Mummy is ill but it doesn't mean she won't do anything with you or try her hardest to be the best Mummy she can be.

I really hope you like this mani, I am particularly proud of this one cause it is close to my heart. I will leave a link to the link-up and event page down below if you would like to join us and create a manicure of your own. For UK ladies Opulent Essences Sharon and Zoe have donated two custom polishes called M.E and Fibro which will be given to one lucky lady who has created a mani for this day. We will be using Random.org to make sure the winner is chosen fairly, sorry to the international ladies but we are limited to where we can post to and make sure it gets there safely. Please feel free to join us in the link-up though.

As always I hope you are all having a fab nail day and I will chat to all you lovely people again soon. Just want to say a massive thank you to Becca for helping me set everything up, and for being such an amazing supportive friend. I am so glad we met through polish and have a friendship based on so much more than that now, huge hugs and kisses hun.

Nailzopia Nail Art Box- Unboxing & Review

Hello my lovely readers! I hope that you all had a lovely weekend in the sun, unfortunately I have been suffering from my migraines again so haven't been able to post for a couple of days. Today's post is a really special one though to make up for it, I have the Nailzopia Nail Art box to show you today. This is a debut nail art box created by the lovely Teena, she recently asked a few of us nail addicts on Facebook if we would be interested in a nail art subscription box packed full of everything you need to create some gorgeous mani's. I jumped at the chance to try her Spring themed debut box, so lets crack this baby open.

I was totally shocked at the amount of goodies I received, Teema really outdid herself. Just before she posted the boxes she asked us if we had any specific colours we would like. I obviously said pink and purple and she really did an amazing job. There are 8 sheets of nails foils, 5 packs of gorgeous glitter, water decals, nail stickers, a stamping plate, nail wheel, nail file and orange sticks along with a double ended dotting tool. Like I said plenty to create some amazing nail art looks, so lets take a closer look at all of these stunning nail goodies.

These gorgeous glitters are stunning, they will definitely add that extra sparkle to any manicure. The first bag is a gorgeous rosey pink metallic glitter with gold shimmer, the second is a lovely bright pink perfect for summer. The third bag of glitter is a stunning dark purple with lighter pink glitters mixed in.

The last two glitters are a dark blue with lighter blue glitters mixed in and the last pack is a light lilac with green mixed in. I haven't used loose glitter very often because it is so messy and gets everywhere but these are just so pretty. I will definitely be trying to incorporate these into a future mani, especially that bright pink.

Once I was done admiring those gorgeous glitters I had a closer look at the nail foils we were given. The first one is a purple chequered pattern, I can imagine this will look so pretty on the nail especially for this Spring. Then there is the stunning butterfly foil, this will look gorgeous over a sky blue background. It will look like you have colourful butterflies fluttering across your nails, who wouldn't love that. Then you have the beautiful pink flowers foil, this will make a very pretty elegant mani.

Next up is a foil that everyone would love to have one their nails, a gorgeous silver holographic foil. If I can get the stamping foil method to work this will look amazing i am sure. The foil in the middle is a black lace design, this would look beautiful in a Gothic themed manicure. The dark pink holographic is another stunner, this would look great just by itself for a night out.

The last two foils are perfect for these sunny days we seem to be having, the pink geometric pattern will be a great Spring time mani and the rainbow gradient foil will just make every passer by stare at your nails in awe.

The loose glitters are perfect for me, the first bag is full of lots of hearts, stars and Mickey mouse head glitters. These will be great to adding a Disney feel to a mani, the little flower gems are great too for adding that bit of sparkle and the Spring look to your nails.

The last few items inside this massive goody box are perfect for the Spring theme and good for all nail artist's both beginner and advanced. There were three rolls of nail tape blue, pink and purple, these come in handy for many different nail looks even though they can be quite fiddly. The nail stickers are also beautiful lots of flowers perfect for Spring, these will give your nails that pop without having to stamp or make a decal.

I will be using these butterfly water decals in a mani coming up very soon, I have only ever used water decals once before but I was so surprised how easy they were to get onto the nail.

The beautiful stamping plate we were supplied with is QA55, this has lots of pretty flowers, bows and girly images. I did try this plate out to see how it would stamp, it stamped a lot better when I used a firmer stamper and the push down motion instead of the rolling one.

I completely feel this nail art box was worth the money for all of these goodies and postage it was £9.50, that is a massive bargain considering how much all of these would cost individually. Teema is hoping to make plenty more of these nail art bags with different theme's each time and brands. I would highly recommend picking one up if you love your nail art and can never have too much to play with like me. I will leave the link to Nailzopia's Facebook page below so you can go check her page out, and give her some love. At the moment she only has a Facebook site but she is hoping to set up a shop in the near future.

I hope you have liked this post, so sorry it was so long and picture heavy. If you have made it all the way to here then big hugs and kisses from me.

As always I would love to know all your thoughts about the Nailzopia box? Will you be getting one in the future?  I hope everyone is having a fabulous nail day and I will chat to all you wonderful people again soon.
