Nail Artisan Custom Harley Quinn & Joker plate- Swatch & Review

Hello my lovelies, I hope you all had a really nice relaxing weekend. For today's post I have this amazing gorgeous custom stamping plate from Nail Artisan. It was quite a few months ago that I first contacted Alex with the idea of making a Harley Quinn plate. There are two things I'm pretty much obsessed with, Nails and Harley Quinn. I've loved the character Harley Quinn since watching Batman the animated series and then the Arkham gaming series just made me love her even more.

I am sure I will be using this plate more than a hundred times in the future, but for now I have two mani's inspired by the Suicide Squad Joker and Harley Quinn.

Cupcake Polish Plum Perfect

For my Joker mani I used Plum Perfect from Cupcake polish as my base colour, this is a deep plum purple linear holographic. This was fully opaque in 2 coats, and applied like butter to the nails I am really falling in love with this brand.

There are pretty much 2 colours that are associated with joker purple and green, so of course that was the colour scheme I went for. The green stamping polish is Esmaltes Da Kelly Bruce a neon green that stamps beautifully over light and dark colours. All images are from the custom plate, and I created a decal using the Jared Leto Joker image.

Painted Polish by Lexi Radiant & Rosy

Radiant & Rosy is a gorgeous pastel pink ultra linear holographic, this is 2 coats with a glossy top coat. Another beautiful polish to apply and a really gorgeous colour that would be work appropriate or great for interviews.

For the Harley Quinn mani I used Radiant & Rosy as well as Sweet & Serene as a gradient for my pointer, middle and pinkie nails. All of the images used are from the plate, anything and everything you can relate to Harley Quinn is on this plate.

As you can see the plate is perfect for all Harley Quinn and Joker lovers out there. The plate is a Nail Artisan custom and is made by the same people who make BBF plates. It measures 11cm by 7cm, all of the image vary in size but would be good for both short and long nails. This plate is etched beautifully and picks up well each and every time.

This plate is available for now from Nail Artisan now for £14.50, as well as other custom plates that have been designed by the group. I have not seen or heard of any other plate like this, it is perfect and a dream come true for me. I will leave links to the Nail Artisan shop and their social media down below.

I would love to know what you think of this plate?? Let me know in the comments.

As always lovelies I hope you have a great day and I will chat to you all again soon.

Born Pretty Store Gel Polish & Vinyls- Swatch & Review

*Press Sample*
Can't believe we are on Friday again, this year is just flying past my eyes in a blur. This week has been a really good one for the diet, 6lbs down which is the most I've lost in a long while. Anyway enough about me, let's get into what we are here for the nails. Among the most recent goodies that I was sent from Born Pretty Store were one of their gel polishes and some UR Sugar vinyls.

This was probably my third time using Gel polish and I have to admit I really enjoy how quick this method can be. Also these vinyls worked really nicely, no sticking to the sheet and no bleeding when the vinyl was removed.

Glitter Sand Platinum UV Gel Polish

This beautiful gel polish is from their Glitter Sand collection, this is a #4, this is a gorgeous clear base packed with purple and silver glitters, this builds up to be fully opaque in 2 coats and was really nice to apply. It was actually really close in 1 but there were some bald spots, so it did need that second. This will be a great polish to wear out to the club, you will definitely catch attention wearing this beauty. #39662

UR Sugar Vinyls

These nail vinyls were really simple to use, they pulled away from the sheet cleanly and the cyclone bounced back into its shape really nicely. They applied to the nail really nicely and left nice crisp lines without any bleeding. #39723

Overall both products were lovely, the gel polish applied really nicely and the vinyls were easy to use. Both products are now available on the Born Pretty Store website, the gel polish is £3.83 and the vinyls are £1.14. Don't forget you can use my discount code KHDB10 for 10% off all fully priced items. I will leave links to the store and their social media down below.

I would love to know what your thoughts are on these products? Let me know in the comments.

Hope you all have a really lovely weekend, and I will chat to you all again soon.

New UK Indie Little Fudge's Beauty Shop- Swatch & Review

*Press Sample*
Welcome back everyone, we have hit another hump day on the downward slope to the weekend. Unfortunately my Nan and Gramps have gone away so no Sunday roast for me, at least that will help the diet I suppose. Ok so for today's post I have a new upcoming UK indie to share with you, so let's take a look at some of her Debut collection.

The debut collection will consist of 12 polishes, Nikki the owner sent me 4 of them to share with you guys. She is offering a beautiful range of colours in her first collection, my swatches are with a round bottle but she will be changing to a more square/rectangular bottle when she opens.

Penny Wonderful

The first polish I have to share with you is this beautiful copper penny metallic, this was fully opaque 2 coats. It was slightly brush strokey which is to be expected with this type of polish, it applied to the nail nicely and dried down fast. At first glance I didn't think I would like this one, but it is actually my favourite out of the 4 I tried.

Every Thorn Has Its Rose

The second polish was a lovely rose pink with a light pink shimmer. this did apply quite sheer and took 3 coats to be fully opaque. I didn't have any difficulties with application and it dried fast between coats. This is a lovely delicate polish that will work really well for the Spring and Summer months.

Vamptress

The third polish is this gorgeous vampy charcoal black with a silver shimmer, this required 3 coats to be fully opaque. This is a great polish for the upcoming winter, or if your wanting to wear a black but not a simple creme.

Perfect Peonies

The last polish is this gorgeous shimmery fuchsia, this was another 3 coater polish. It was sheer just like the last two but it also felt slightly thick, not hard to apply just thicker than the previous two polishes. This is another fabulous colour for the warmer months.

Overall I really enjoyed trying these polishes, its really nice that Nikki has so many lovely shades to choose from in her Debut collection. I am really looking forward to see what she can come up with in the future, there is no official launch date at the moment but I will update my post once one has been set. All of the polishes are 5-free and cruelty-free and vegan friendly, she will be offering full size 10ml bottles. I will leave links to their Instagram and Facebook pages below, so you can go check out the rest of the debut collection polishes.

Would love to know which one is your favourite?? I always love trying new brands, especially when they are home grown.

As always I hope you have a lovely day and I will chat to you all again soon.

July 2017 Meebox Birds of Paradise- Unboxing & Review

Good Afternoon lovelies, I hope you all had a really nice weekend relaxing and enjoying yourselves. For today I have another Meebox unboxing to share with you, this was last months box and the theme was Birds of Paradise.

The Bird of Paradise box was packed with plenty of goodies to play with for Summer, all of the products are from UK brands and worked really well with the theme of the box.

Wikkid Polish Dione

This stunning polish from UK indie brand Wikkid polish caught my eye straight away, it is a multi-chrome that shifts from green to purple to blue. The shift on this was really strong in the bottle as well as on the nails. It took 3 coats to be fully opaque or you can do 1 coat over a black base. The formula was on the sheer side but that is to be expected with multi-chromes, it wasn't pooling or difficult to handle. This can be purchased from the Wikkid Polish website for £6.

Moyou London After the Storm

We were treated with 3 products from Moyou London this month, this polish is called After the Storm it is for stamping but can also be used as a base colour too. It is a light grey creme that was really nice to apply, fully opaque in 1-2 coats and will be a lovely colour to wear as the weather gets colder. This is available from the Moyou London website for £5.99.

A-England Rose Bower

The last polish in the box is from A-England, this is Rose Bower a cherry tomato red with a scattered holographic shimmer. This was so lovely to apply and was nearly opaque in just 1 coat, I did use 2 for my swatches just to deepen that colour. Another amazingly beautiful polish from A-England, definitely my favourite from the box. This can be purchased from the A-England website for £11.

As well as these lovely polishes we were treated to three nail art items.

Leighton Denny Corrector Liquid

One of the extra items included in the box is this corrector liquid from Leighton Denny, this is a 12ml bottle of polish remover that can be used when cleaning up your nails. It comes with a brush for precise clean up. This can be purchased from Leighton Denny's website for £12.

Moyou London Stamper, Scraper and Stamping plate

We were given a stamper and scraper set, as well as a stamping plate from their Tropical collection. This plate is number 06, it is filled with plenty of tropical bird images and leaf designs. The stamper and the plate work really well, no need to buff the stamper and the plate picked up first try. Both items are available from Moyou London for £2.99 and £5.99.

Overall I really liked this box, there were plenty of goodies to play with and the polishes were very pretty. The total value was £43.97 and considering I paid £20 that is a huge bargain! I felt they did a fantastic job with the theme and it really worked for Summer too.

What do you think of this box? Which item would have been your favourite? Let me know down in the comments.

I will leave links to Meebox and their social media down below.

I have decided to carry on my subscription as this box definitely made up for the last few, looking forward to seeing what August's box will have now.

Have a lovely day and I will chat to you all again soon my lovelies.

26 Great Nail Art Idea's- Colour Explosion

Good afternoon my lovelies and welcome back, it is Friday yet again which means its time for another prompt from the Crumpet's Nail Tart's collection. As you all know I have recently begun my trek through mountain untried, and I have come across some really gorgeous polishes that I have no clue why it has taken me so long to wear. So for today's post I used one of these stunning polishes as my base colour and inspiration.
