November Nail Art Round-up

Image
Hello, my lovely readers, we are now at the end of yet another month this year is going way too fast for my liking. Through November I have been posting extra nail art looks to Instagram and Facebook, so I wanted to do a quick round-up post here. I am going to try and make this a monthly thing, so that if you don't follow me on my social media platforms you can still see the nail art I have been posting. So let's jump in!

When Colours Collide- Yellow and Grey Theme

Image
Hello my lovely readers! I hope you all had an awesome weekend, mine was quite uneventful but Monday and today have made up for that. I have received some epic nail mail and I still have plenty more due to come through out the rest of the week. I also recently purchased a DSLR camera that should be here in a few days; so I am hoping my blogs picture quality will improve to top off the amazing icing on the cake I also found out today that I won the Meebox mani challenge so I get a free Meebox (woop woop). Today's post is another When Colours Collide post, this is a Facebook group that set bi-weekly nail challenges mixing different colours from the rainbow. This months theme is yellow and grey, at first I couldn't actually come up with anything my mind went totally blank. In the end this is the manicure I decided to go with, hope you like it. I am quite pleased with how this turned out, I would have preferred it if the stars were a little bit smaller but I do love the wolf ...

Deadpool Nails using Sebastian from Christina Marie Handmade UK

Image
Hello my lovely readers! I hope all of you had a great weekend, I am happy to say that on Friday night I finally watched the new Deadpool movie. You may not know this about me but I am a huge Marvel comic book fan, so I was thrilled to see they were finally making a Deadpool movie. The movie did not disappoint at all it lived up to all my expectations, and Ryan Reynolds is the perfect actor for the roll. If you have not gone to see this movie yet I would highly recommend it, even if your not into comic books it is still a fabulous movie. I was laughing pretty much the whole time I was in the cinema, it is a great mixture of action, comedy, romance and just pure Deadpool madness. Before me and my boyfriend went off to the Cinema I wanted to make sure my nails looked the part, so I created this mani. These Deadpool nails were really easy to create; all that was needed is a red base colour, a black polish for the half moon nails and his mask along with some paper reinforcement stick...

HPB Presents Watermelon Gradient

Image
Hello my lovely readers! Today's post includes an InLinkz link up with the lovely people from Hobby Polish Bloggers , this is a Facebook page I recently joined for nail polish bloggers. There are some lovely ladies on there and they are always willing to give out helpful hints and tricks to help you improve your blog. Each month they come up with a theme for a link-up that anyone in the group can participate in, for January the theme is gradients. Luckily there was a gradient manicure I had been meaning to do for some time, so lets get into my Watermelon Gradient mani. I was inspired by Kelli Marissa from Youtube, she was previously called The Nail polish Challenge and creates fantastic nail art tutorials that are easy to follow and super cute. For this manicure I chose to use Cassella Limitless as my white base, I received this white creme in my first ever Meebox last September. This is opaque in 2 coats and has a great formula, it creates the perfect base for any gradien...

Inside Out Nail Art using my Echoes Custom Polishes

Image
Hello my lovely readers, today as promised I have some Inside Out nail art to go with the gorgeous custom polishes that I purchased from Echoes polish. For this nail art I wanted to try and make each character from the movie come to life on my nails. To do this I first painted each nail with the holographic polish from the collection, I then used my dotting tool and some white polish to make eyes for each of the characters. For Joy I made her eyes oval, then for Sadness and Fear I made them circular. Then for Angers eyes I made them more on the square side, then disgust was more of a cats eye. Once the eyes had completely dried I drew on their features with my nail art pens.  Because the holographic didn't show up very well in my other swatches I wanted to take this picture to show you just how gorgeous they are in the sunlight. I am so happy with these polishes and quite proud of this nail art, I know they are not perfect but hopefully the more practise I have the bet...

Santa Claus Manicure

Image
Hello my lovely readers, I can't believe it is Christmas eve already I am such a little kid at Christmas. Can't wait to open up all my pressies tomorrow and see other peoples faces when they receive mine, especially looking forward to seeing Lexi's little face light up at the different activities going on throughout the day. So for my last manicure before the big day I thought nothing would be more appropriate that a jolly Santa mani. After all it is Christmas time when this magical man goes from house to house delivering toys to all of those sleepy little children. Lexi isn't really old enough to be aware of Santa Claus yet, but I am sure next year her daddy will have to dress up and leave some snowy boot prints leading up to the tree just to make it even more magical. Lets get into this Santa Claus nail art, I was inspired by  Kelli Marissa  over on Youtube. She recently uploaded an easy way to create a Santa Claus accent nail, follow the link if you would like to...

Christmas minion nails

Image
Hello my lovely readers, I can't believe we are only 6 days away from Christmas. I don't know if it is just me but this month has been flying by, I thought I had plenty of time left for some more festive mani's and some Christmas baking. So because I am running out of time way to fast I wanted to make some gingerbread cookies and mince pies, this resulted in my middle nail breaking so I am so sorry that he is a bit shorter than the rest. Hopefully with my Nailtiques formula 2 it will catch up with the rest before Christmas is over. So for today's festive mani I have painted some Christmas minions onto my nails, if my nails had been a little bit longer I would have been able to give them there little red jackets but unfortunately I had to settle for just the eyes and there little Santa hats for now. Lets get into how I created my 10 little mischievous friends. The first thing I did was choose my base colour, at the moment the only yellow creme polish I own is OPI I...

Christmas Eve Santa's Sleigh Ride Manicure using Danglefoot Nail Polish Higitus Figitus (2)

Image
Hello again my lovely readers well we are officially in the single digit countdown to Christmas, I for one am hugely excited. I used to love Christmas when I wasn't a mum and now that I am its even more magical, I can't wait to see the mischief Lexi gets into when there is a big pile of wrapping paper to jump into and to see her face light up trying her first ever Christmas dinner. As she is only one I don't think she will be into the whole Santa thing yet but that doesn't mean I can't have him dancing across my nails. So without further ado I would like to share with you lovely people my latest manicure for the festive season. As the base for this mani I used the beautiful Danglefoot nail polishes Higitus Figitus, this is the new version of this particular polish. It is a gorgeous deep black holographic polish it is fully opaque in two easy to apply coats and has an excellent formula. This polish is great to use to set the scene for some night time nail art...

Only another 13 days until Christmas, I am happy to say I have got all my Christmas shopping done and dusted so at least that is one less thing to worry about. My boyfriend has told me that he has brought me nothing but nail polish for Christmas so I am super excited to find out what goodies he has picked. I will definitely be doing a Christmas haul post to show all of you fellow addicts my loot.  Today I have another festive inspired manicure for you all, I recently spent some of my pennies on some more Danglefoot Nail Polish . Among the beauties that I acquired from the lovely Hayley is this gorgeous dark blue polish called Eye Candy. I am utterly besotted with this polish, I mean what is not to love it is jam packed with iridescent blue and rainbow glitters. She Sells Seashells Mega Christmas Mystery Box Opening and Review

Image
Hello my lovely readers, I hope everyone has had a great weekend and is feeling well in this freezing weather. My weekend consisted of baking goodies for my cousins 18th Birthday party and trying to fight off a cold. At the moment I'm feeling awful so I don't think I am winning the battle at this present time. But today I have an awesome post for you, it was only a few weeks ago that She Sells Seashells announced she was going to be selling a Christmas box full of lots of nail art goodies that can get your nails ready for the festivities. At the moment I am really skint so when it came out on the site I was so worried it would sell out before I had my chance to grab a box for myself. Luckily for me I have a great friend in Becca from  A certain Becca nails  who offered to get the box for me so I wouldn't miss out. So I am saying a huge thank you to my fantastic nail friend for not only getting me the box but also picking up the Uber Chic Christmas plate for me. I will pay y...

Pastel Penguins

Image
Hello my wonderful readers, I hope everyone has been keeping well. I must say I am absolutely freezing today, apparently it isn't very cold so I think I maybe coming down with something. I really hope not, as Lexi is due her 1 year jabs next week and I don't want her catching anything from me before she has them. Also I have plans to go watch the final installment of The Hunger games, I can't wait to see that after reading all the books I am highly anticipating part 2 of Mockingjay. Anyway enough of my random ramblings lets get into today's manicure, as we are now entering into winter and Christmas is just around the corner I wanted to start of my chilly/Christmas mani's with some cute little penguins. I saw the tutorial for these little fella's on the Cutepolish Youtube channel, I will leave a link to her tutorial here  if you wanted to go check her out. She is a great nail artist and comes up with some fantastic designs, she is always inspiring me to try new...
