The Digit-al Dozen Does All That Glitters: Day 1

Image
Welcome back my lovelies, I hope you had a really lovely weekend. I am just about recovering from my brothers wedding. It was a really beautiful day, apart from the fact that I fell over while getting ready and had to hobble down the aisle. I think it's safe to say my best friend now sister in-law will have second thoughts when asking me to do anything physical in future LOL.  Today's blog post I am really excited and pleased to be sharing with you, I was recently contacted by the lovely ladies from the Digit-al Dozen nail art group. I was over the moon when they offered for me to join them. They are a nail art group that take 1 week out of each month to post mani's for 5 consecutive days based off a theme. So let's have a look at the first mani I created for this weeks theme.

26 Great Nail Art Idea's- Spring Animals

Image
Hey Everyone, first let me apologise I am a day late posting this next addition to the Crumpets Nail Tart's 26 Great Nail Art Idea's challenge. There were a few reasons, one because it was St Patricks Day and I had already uploaded a mani for that, it's on Instagram if you would like to see it. The Second reason was that my little Lexi had a bad tummy, so there were serious mummy huggles needed. So enough of me going on a tangent let's jump straight in.

Harley Quinn Nail Art

Image
Hello, my lovely readers, I hope you have all had a great week. I had some good news for once so it has been a highly beneficial week for me. Today's post is a nail art look that I have been wanting to do for quite some time. For my birthday I was given a really cute Harley Quinn soft toy, my sweet cousin won it for me when she went on holiday. I knew the minute that I saw it, I wanted to try and do nails to match her. So let's jump in!

Ejiubas Nail Vinyls- Swatch & Review

Image
*Press Sample* Hello, my lovely readers; I hope you have had a good week with minimal nail breaks. My week hasn't been hugely eventful, I have however broken a nail (major sad face). Not to worry it was not on my swatch hand, thankfully. But now my poor cindie hand is down to nubs again, so much length gone thanks to a very mean car door. Today's post is a rare one for me, I used nail vinyls! I was recently sent some Ejiubas nail vinyls to review so I sat down and gave it my best shot, let's jump in.

Freckles Polish Gradient Manicure Using The Creme's Collection

Image
Hello my lovely readers, I hope you have all had a great week so far. I am loving all of the Summer manicures floating around at the moment. Especially the beautiful gradients, I do love the effect of a gradient but not so much the clean up after. However once I had finished swatching the Freckles polish cremes collection I couldn't resist seeing how well they would blend together. Lets get straight into it! For this paticular manicure I used Oh Boy, Parma Violets and Make The Boys Wink for my gradient base full swatches of these are in my previous post . These polishes blended so well together. I had to do about 3 layers to get the blend of colours I was happy with and to make sure they were opaque. I did put down a white base before sponging my gradient onto my nails. For this I used Color Club French Tip which is a lovely 1 coat white, great for nail art. I also had to add a little bit of glitter so I used China Glaze Fairy Dust to add that little bit of sparkle to the gr...

When Colours Collide- Red and Black Manicure Challenge

Image
Hello my lovely readers, as you can probably tell from the title of this post it is that time again. Today's post is all about the latest When Colours Collide theme, if you haven't read one of these posts before When Colours Collide is a Facebook page that invites nail enthusiasts to come up with manicure ideas based off of the theme, they post different colour combinations every two weeks and you then make a manicure combing those colours. This time the theme was red and black, many different thoughts went through my mind for this colour combo but in the end I had to go with my heart. Here they are my blingy ladybirds or as I like to call them ladybugs, when I read that it would be red and black I couldn't resist having these cute little insects crawling across my nails. To start this manicure off I chose this gorgeous OPI called Innie Minnie Mightie Bow this is a beautiful deep red with a subtle gold shimmer, this gorgeous polish is from the Couture de Minnie collec...

Nail Swap with Becca from A Certain Becca Nails

Image
Hello my lovely readers! Today's post is a highly anticipated post for me to write, last year I met the lovely Becca from A Certain Becca Nails through the Facebook nail page . Ever since that day we have literally spoken every day and got to know each other really well, even though we have never met face to face I really do consider her a really close friend. For quite a few months now we have been talking about doing a swap just between us, and last month we finally got all the bits and pieces together and sent our parcels on their long journey's. Once mine arrived and I had the green light from Becca to open it I dove into my amazing parcel and picked out all the amazing goodies she brought me. When I opened my box of goodies I was greeted by packing peanuts, tons of bubble wrap and some really cool pineapple and minion wrapping paper. Each polish was wrapped so well there was no chance of any breakages, she really went above and beyond I loved the little extra bits ...

Deadpool Nails using Sebastian from Christina Marie Handmade UK

Image
Hello my lovely readers! I hope all of you had a great weekend, I am happy to say that on Friday night I finally watched the new Deadpool movie. You may not know this about me but I am a huge Marvel comic book fan, so I was thrilled to see they were finally making a Deadpool movie. The movie did not disappoint at all it lived up to all my expectations, and Ryan Reynolds is the perfect actor for the roll. If you have not gone to see this movie yet I would highly recommend it, even if your not into comic books it is still a fabulous movie. I was laughing pretty much the whole time I was in the cinema, it is a great mixture of action, comedy, romance and just pure Deadpool madness. Before me and my boyfriend went off to the Cinema I wanted to make sure my nails looked the part, so I created this mani. These Deadpool nails were really easy to create; all that was needed is a red base colour, a black polish for the half moon nails and his mask along with some paper reinforcement stick...

When Colours Collide- Purple and Green Manicure Challenge

Image
Hello my lovely readers, today's post is another special one. I recently joined a group on Facebook called When Colours Collide , this is a group for all nail addicts that would like to take part in a nail polish challenge. If you have ever wanted to try and do a nail polish challenge but don't think you would have the time to do a full 31 days or even 15 this is the perfect group for you. They post different colour combinations every 2 weeks. So you have plenty of time to work on your design and get it up before the deadline. There are some really lovely people on this group and it is a lovely way to ease yourself into nail polish challenges. From the 18th to the 31st of January the theme was purple and green, when I read this my mind was going crazy trying to decide what I would do. In the end I turned to my trusty Uber Chic plates the two images I chose to stamp are from Uber Chic collection 3 plate 1.  This gorgeous China Glaze purple creme is called Mix and Min...

China Glaze Electric Nights Gradient with Doticure

Image
Hello my lovely readers, well I hope you are all having a good week so far. Mine hasn't been the best as I've been suffering from more migraines. According to the doctors they are called visual migraines which is why I keep getting the black splodge in front of my eyes. Not much I can do really just keep taking strong painkillers and wait for them to pass, but I did not let that stop me from making today's gradient manicure. I recently picked up the China Glaze Electric Nights mini baby beats collection from my local TKMaxx, all 6 had been reduced to £10 for the set, Bargain! Whilst I was there I also picked up some of the Nails-Inc gel effect polishes, swatches and some some nail art will be posted soon. To create this manicure the first thing I did was apply a white base coat so that the Electric Nights gradient would be a neon as possible. After that had dried I used a make-up sponge from Poundland and applied 4 colours from the set. From cuticle to tip I u...
