When Colours Collide- Purple and Green Manicure Challenge

Hello my lovely readers, today's post is another special one. I recently joined a group on Facebook called When Colours Collide, this is a group for all nail addicts that would like to take part in a nail polish challenge. If you have ever wanted to try and do a nail polish challenge but don't think you would have the time to do a full 31 days or even 15 this is the perfect group for you. They post different colour combinations every 2 weeks. So you have plenty of time to work on your design and get it up before the deadline. There are some really lovely people on this group and it is a lovely way to ease yourself into nail polish challenges.

From the 18th to the 31st of January the theme was purple and green, when I read this my mind was going crazy trying to decide what I would do. In the end I turned to my trusty Uber Chic plates the two images I chose to stamp are from Uber Chic collection 3 plate 1.

This gorgeous China Glaze purple creme is called Mix and Mingle from the Cheers 2015 collection, formula is fantastic and is opaque in 2 coats. I then top coated and stamped on Born Pretty Store green shimmer stamping polish. I reviewed all 6 of these shimmer polishes a few weeks ago, they are really opaque and great over dark and light colours.

Here is the full collage of all 80 manicures created for this theme, I think all the ladies definitely did a fabulous job. If your interested in taking part in future challenges go sign up to the group now, the theme at the moment is orange, pink and purple. I have started brainstorming what I could come up with all ready, that challenge finishes on the 14th of February so I will have my manicure and all the other ladies who join in up on the blog a few days later.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and you and join us in our bi-weekly nail challenge. Just a quick FYI for all of my readers, the Sinful PROshine Babydoll pink creme I used in my previous mani and was inside my January Nailbox stained my nails. It isn't really bad but there is definite stains left behind when the polish is removed, if you do plan to use that particular polish I highly suggest using a good base coat or a peel off base coat to avoid the polish staining your nails.

As always I hope you are all having a fab nail day and chat to you all again really soon.

  1. I love the idea of the colour challenge, it gets you to use combos you wouldn't normally. Your mani looks great :)(Shame about Babydoll staining though!) x
