26 Great Nail Art Idea's- Spring Animals

Image
Hey Everyone, first let me apologise I am a day late posting this next addition to the Crumpets Nail Tart's 26 Great Nail Art Idea's challenge. There were a few reasons, one because it was St Patricks Day and I had already uploaded a mani for that, it's on Instagram if you would like to see it. The Second reason was that my little Lexi had a bad tummy, so there were serious mummy huggles needed. So enough of me going on a tangent let's jump straight in.

1000 Instagram Followers Mani Using Cupcake Polish Berry Good Looking

Image
Hello my lovely readers, unfortunately this week has not been a good one for me and my family. My great Aunty Ann passed away on Wednesday, it was expected but still not easy to deal with. The sooner a cure is found for Alzheimer's the better, I really hope you have all had a better week than myself. On the more positive side of things last weekend I hit 1000 followers on Instagram, I was over the moon and still am. So for my 1000 follower mani I broke out a highly sought and talked about polish Cupcake Polish Berry Good Looking. I have been dying to try this polish ever since hearing all of the hype last year. Let's get into it and see if it was worth the wait.

Dixie Girl Stamping Plate DP02- Swatch & Review

Hello, my lovely readers, this week has been scorching hot and me and heat do not mix well together. I almost didn't manage to get this post up as I have not been feeling good at all, really can not wait for winter. Today's post is all about a brand new stamping plate brand from Dixie Girl a Blogger and Youtuber. She recently came out with 3 plates that she designed herself, luckily she has a UK supplier so I was able to get my hands on one of her new plates.

Opulent Essences In The Mood Swatch & Review

Image
Hello my lovely readers, I hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend. Me and Lexi didn't get up to much just a trip to town and a delicious roast dinner at my Nan's house on Sunday. The polish that I have to show you today is one of my favourite kinds. I love wearing thermal polishes and can not stop putting my nail in and out of cold water to see the colour change. Today's thermal polish is called In The Mood and was created by the lovely Sharon and Zoe from Opulent Essences. Let's get into the swatches and see just what this stunning polish can do. I loved working with this polish it applied really easily and reached full opacity in 3 coats. The formula is more jelly like than creme so it looks very squishy on the nail.  When this beautiful polish is warm it takes on this gorgeous bubblegum pink colour.  After the polish has been exposed to a cold temperature it changes to a deep royal purple. The change in the colour is so fast I couldn't capture...

Opulent Essences Taste The Rainbow Stamping Swatches and Mani

Image
Hello my lovely readers, I hope you have all had a fabulous week. Mine has been full of bugs not only was I ill for most of last week and the beginning of this one but now my little girl has caught the bug. I really hope it doesn't stick around as long as it did for me. Today's post is a follow up from the last, in that post I showed you full swatches of the  Taste The Rainbow collection from Opulent Essences . I had so many different ideas for manicures that I ended up just sitting down and letting the polish guide me. This is my first marbled manicure to create this look I used all of the polishes from the collection except blueberry as I felt it would be a bit too dark and over power the lighter colours. For my ring finger and pointer I dropped a few drops of Orange, Strawberry and Lemon onto the top of my jumbo stamper head. I then marbled them together by smooshing the stamper down so the colours blended together. I then took the stamper and stamped the blended colou...

Meebox Kawai Mani

Image
Hello my lovely readers! I hope you are all having a great weekend so far, today's quick post will be my Kawaii mani using the goodies from March's Meebox . As Kawaii means cute I wanted to try and do the cutest manicure possible The minute that this beautiful Cuccio Under A Blue Moon was on my nails I knew that this was the base I wanted to use for my Kawaii mani. It is opaque in 2 coats and is the perfect sky blue colour, it worked fantastically with the stamping image I chose from Uber Chic Collection 8.   I used this cute smiling clouds image from plate 3 for every nail except my ring finger. I love how cute this image is and it was perfect for this mani. For my accent nail I cut out one of the small heart water decal from YRNAILS that I received in the Kawaii box. This was so simple to use, I just placed it in warm water for 30 seconds picked it out placed it where I wanted it on the nail. Once that was in place and top coated I used my bright pink mundo de una...

Easter Chick Nails Using Winkel Nails Truly Fresh

Image
Hello my lovely readers and a happy Easter to you all, I hope you all have a great day full of happiness family and chocolate. Today's post is just a quick one to show you my Easter Chicks I created for this lovely event. For this manicure I used one of the Winkel Nails creme polishes I recently received, I will leave the link here if you would like to see the swatch and review I did for those polishes. Here he is my little chickadee just popping out of his egg to say hello; to get this look I first painted all of my nails accept my ring finger with 1 coat of Winkel Truly Fresh. Then for my chick accent nail I used Nails Inc Seven Dials, this is a yellow creme opaque in 2 coats. I then top coated all my nails with my HK Girl top coat, and waited for them to completely dry. To create my little chick I used some chevron nail vinyls I recently purchased from She Sells Seashells for £1, I placed two of these down on the completely dry top coat. One of them was placed abo...

Tux Polish Sea Turtle Nail Art

Image
Hello my lovely readers! I hope you have all been having a fabulous weekend, mine has been very relaxing as I haven't been feeling 100%. Today's post is featuring that beautiful Tux Polish Sea Turtle in some nail art. The minute I read the name of this polish I knew what I wanted to do, I even purchased a Moyou London plate specifically for this particular manicure. I really hope you like it and i'm so excited to show you my Sea Turtle mani. Yay! I managed to use this beautiful polish and create in my opinion a very cute Sea Turtle manicure. I completely fell in love with this polish as soon as I saw the bottle, and I knew I had to try and take it to the next level but not ruin that beautiful green colour and it's gorgeous blue shimmer.  To begin I stamped this lovely Turtle/Tortoise shell pattern onto all of my nails using True Brit London Park Lane which I received in a previous Nailbox. This stamps lovely and was just the colour I was looking for. The tu...

I love how this turned out it screams St Paddy's day and that accent nail of Liquid Leprechaun really makes this mani pop. I am sure this will get the seal of approval from my family over seas and at home.  For my accent nail I used the stunning limited edition Pretty Serious Liquid Leprechaun, this is available at Rainbow Connection right now for £6.50.  I think there are only a few bottle's left so hurry on over now to grab yours. Liquid Leprechaun is a jam packed Irish Glitter fest, it has gold and green glitters in many different sizes that all lie in a bright green jelly bas...

When Colours Collide- Red and Black Manicure Challenge

Image
Hello my lovely readers, as you can probably tell from the title of this post it is that time again. Today's post is all about the latest When Colours Collide theme, if you haven't read one of these posts before When Colours Collide is a Facebook page that invites nail enthusiasts to come up with manicure ideas based off of the theme, they post different colour combinations every two weeks and you then make a manicure combing those colours. This time the theme was red and black, many different thoughts went through my mind for this colour combo but in the end I had to go with my heart. Here they are my blingy ladybirds or as I like to call them ladybugs, when I read that it would be red and black I couldn't resist having these cute little insects crawling across my nails. To start this manicure off I chose this gorgeous OPI called Innie Minnie Mightie Bow this is a beautiful deep red with a subtle gold shimmer, this gorgeous polish is from the Couture de Minnie collec...

Once Upon A Time 100th Episode Mani

Image
Hello my lovely readers! Well today is Mothering Sunday so to all you yummy Mummy's out there I hope you have a great day and are spoiled rotten. I was originally going to do a special manicure for mothers day but then I remembered that today was also the air date for Once Upon A Time's 100th episode in America, so I decided to create a design for that instead. When Colours Collide- Yellow and Grey Theme

Image
Hello my lovely readers! I hope you all had an awesome weekend, mine was quite uneventful but Monday and today have made up for that. I have received some epic nail mail and I still have plenty more due to come through out the rest of the week. I also recently purchased a DSLR camera that should be here in a few days; so I am hoping my blogs picture quality will improve to top off the amazing icing on the cake I also found out today that I won the Meebox mani challenge so I get a free Meebox (woop woop). Today's post is another When Colours Collide post, this is a Facebook group that set bi-weekly nail challenges mixing different colours from the rainbow. This months theme is yellow and grey, at first I couldn't actually come up with anything my mind went totally blank. In the end this is the manicure I decided to go with, hope you like it. I am quite pleased with how this turned out, I would have preferred it if the stars were a little bit smaller but I do love the wolf ...

Essie Starry Starry Night Swatch and Review

Image
Hello my lovely readers! Today's post is a quick one to show you one of my recent manicure, this has to be in my top 10 favourite mani's just because this Essie polish is gorgeous. I was browsing Facebook recently and came across a post stating that you could buy any Essie polish in Boots for £5.99. This offer included the newer retro revival collection, I like many others have been wanting to get my hands on the very popular and highly talked about Essie Starry Starry Night. So let me show you what I created with this gorgeous polish and an amazing stamping image. Like I said this polish is amazing it may not be a complete dupe for the original Essie Starry Starry night which apparently had smaller glitters and more of them but the revival version is still stunning. First I used two coats of Essie Starry Starry Night, this is a dark blue jelly polish with silver glitters. I didn't have any problems applying the polish and it did reach full opacity in 2 coats f...
