UK Indie Box: Sweet Treats

Hello my lovely fairies; I hope this week is treating you well so far. Weather has been typical UK summer time weather over here. Lots of lovely rain especially at school drop off and pick up, ahh the joys of mum life LOL. Today I have the most recent UK Indie Box which is organised by my wonderful best friend Becca of A Certain Becca Lacquer. So if you are interested in seeing what was in this last box, read on to find out more...

This fabulous box contains polishes from four different UK indie brands and two yummy cuticle oils from A Certain Becca Lacquer. All of the items are limited editions and exclusive to the UK indie box, this previous boxes theme was Sweet Treats. So everything was inspired by something sweet and yummy to eat. This was actually my first time trying two of these brands and I was left quite impressed so let's take a closer look.

Prism Polish-Marvellous Macaron

Marvellous Macaron- is a super pretty thermal polish that changes from a light pale blue when warm and a teal blue when cold, it also has a sprinkling of rainbow microflakies. Shown is 2 coats plus a glossy top coat. The thermal quality of this polish was really reactive and those flakies add a lovely extra detail. I have tried Prism Polish in the past and Suzie always impresses me with her formula and colour choices, this polish was inspired by the extra colourful Macarons you can get in patisseries.

AJ Nails Collection-Jawbreaker

Jawbreaker- is a really beautiful white crelly with multicoloured flakies. Shown is 2 coats plus a glossy top coat. This is my first time trying this brand and I have to say I was very impressed the formula was easy to work with and became opaque quite quickly which is rare with a white crelly. This polish is inspired by those wonderful round sweets that would break your teeth, have to admit I had loads when I was young they would last for ages too.

516 Polish-Popsicle

Popsicle- is a stunning bright cerise pink scattered holographic, show is 2 coats plus a glossy top coat. The holographic wasn't massively noticeable but out in the sun you do see a little twinkle shining through. Again another nice formula to work with the bottles are thin and long which means so is the brush, i'm not keen on long brushes as I always find big globs of polish falling down the steam but that is just personal preference. This polish is so pretty and a great representation of a yummy berry flavoured popsicle.

For Your Nails Only-Parma Violets

Parma Violets- this next polish has a pale cream crelly base with different sized purple glitters, shown is 2 coats over a white base coat. I did try and get this one opaque on its own but unfortunately the base was just too sheer and not covering my nail line. Formula on this one was a bit of a miss for me but I have tried other polishes from this brand before and been very impressed.

A Certain Becca Lacquer-Cuticle Oils

Dr Pepper- the first oil from the box is a yummy scent of Dr Pepper and I am not going to lie this seriously smells like the drink I don't like Dr Pepper personally but this does smell so yummy.

Caramel Pop- the second oil is Caramel Pop this scent is super sweet makes you want to go and grab a toffee. I get serious Butterbeer vibes with this one and again smells so good. All the oils soaked in very fast and are so nourishing for the skin.

So there we have the Sweet Treats box another great box showcasing some fabulously talented UK indie makers. I will definitely be grabbing some more from the makers in the future, would love to try out some more formulas from them.

The UK indie box is released every 3 months with a new theme and showcases some of the best UK indie makers we have, I am looking forward to see what comes next. I will link all the indie makers down below for you to go check them out and give them some love.

I would love to know which of these would be your favourite, mine would definitely be between the thermal and the crelly. Let me know down in the comments below.

Hope you enjoyed todays post my lovelies, and I will see you back here soon for more nail goodness.
