Opulent Essences- Swatch & Review

*Press Sample*
Happy hump day everyone, we are on that downward slide towards the weekend yet again. Normally I would be posting a polish from my Alphabet Swatchathon today, but I have these beautiful polishes from UK indie Opulent Essences which I really wanted to show to you. My swatchathon will continue next week, I promise.

These beautiful polishes were sent to me from Sharon and Zoe for review, so huge thank you to those lovely ladies. I was sent two shimmer polishes, a matte polish and a flakie topper, so let's take a closer look.

Pharaoh

The first polish is called Pharaoh, it is a beautiful bright denim blue that dries down to a matte finish. I used 2 coats to get this fully opaque, it was easy to apply and I didn't have any trouble with streaking. This polish does dry very fast but it wasn't too hard to handle, I would suggest not trying to manipulate this one too much, the three stroke method worked well for this.

Malachite

The second polish is malachite a light green polish with a gold shimmer, this took 2 coats to be fully opaque. That shimmer definitely transfers from the bottle to the nail and gives this polish a really pretty glow. Again the formula was easy to work with, slightly streaky on the first coat but evened out nicely with the second.

Phoenix

Another shimmer polish this one is called Phoenix, a brown polish with a green shimmer. I did two coats for my swatches but looking back now I think maybe 3 would have deepened that brown base a bit more. Not going to lie this isn't my favourite, as you all know brown and me don't mix very well. This shimmer does translate to the nail though and if you are a lover of those deep browny red colours, this is for you.

Precious

The last polish is this gorgeous flakie topper, this has a clear base with gold and silver flakies. This was lovely to apply, plenty of glitter on the brush so no need for fishing. I used one coat over Pharaoh and loved the effect it had to the overall mani. This would be a really versatile topper and add that special something to any creme polish.

Overall I love these polishes, Phoenix isn't my particular cup of tea but it's still a lovely polish to work with. My favourite from the four is definitely Pharaoh, love the matte finish and it is a unique polish to my collection. Opulent Essences is a UK indie, all of their polishes are 5 free, cruelty-free and vegan-friendly. The two shimmer polishes and topper are available now at the Opulent Essences website, Pharaoh will be released shortly I believe. Mini's (5ml) are 3.50 and full-size 10ml bottle are £6, at this time they are not able to deliver outside the UK. I will leave the links to their store and social media down below.

I would love to know which polish takes your fancy? As always have a fabulous nail day lovelies and I will chat to you all again soon.
