Pampered Polishes: Trip To Hogsmeade

Welcome back my lovelies, I hope this week has been going well for you all. Today's post is my first impressions on a new brand to me, I have never tried Pampered Polishes so read on to find out my first thoughts on this American indie brand...

This stunning collection was a collaboration with UK Youtuber Amy also known as NailPolishBaby90. Amy like myself is totally obsessed with all things Harry Potter, so when it was announced that she was doing a collab with Pampered Polishes I knew I was going to need this collection. The whole collection is called A Trip To Hogsmeade which is the little village outside Hogwarts that the characters visit through out the books and movies. Each polish is named after a place of shop that can be found in Hogsmeade, so let's take a closer look at this magical collection.

Gladrags Wizardwear

The first polish in the collection is 'Gladrags Wizardwear' a gorgeous light pink crelly with platinum flakies, scattered holo, and holo flakies. For my swatch pic I used 2-3 coats plus glossy top coat, the formula was really nice to work with and applied to the nail smoothly.

Honeydukes

The second polish is 'Honeydukes' which of course is the awesome sweet shop that is located in Hogsmeade. This is a lavender crelly with iridescent micro flakies, different size platinum flakies, scattered holo and holo flakies. My swatch pic is 3 coats plus a glossy top coat, again formula was nice to work with.

Hogs Head Inn

The next one is definitely one of my top 3 faves, this is 'Hogs Head Inn' a really gorgeous deep blue crelly filled with that same mixture as 'Honeydukes'. My swatch pics are 2 coats plus a glossy top coat, again formula was really nice and even though the blue is quite saturated I had no issues with staining to my cuticles or nail.

The Three Broomstick Inn

Another beautiful polish from the collection and perfect for Autumn is 'The Three Broomsticks Inn', this is the small pub that Harry and his classmates go to for their yummy Butterbeer drinks. This is has a Butternut squash orange crelly with gold micro flakies, different size platinum flakes, holo micro glitters and holo flakies. This swatch is 2-3 coats plus a glossy top coat, opacity will depend on nail length I think.

Shrieking Shack

Another fabulous colour for Autumn is 'Shrieking Shack' this is the building where Harry meets his godfather Sirius for the first time. This is a really gorgeous olive green crelly with the same mix of glitters and flakies as 'Gladrags Wizardwear'. This swatch is 2 coats with glossy top coat, formula was lovely to work with yet again.

Zonko's Joke Shop

The next polish is 'Zonko's Joke Shop' a stunning bright blood red crelly with red micro flakies, different size platinum flakies, scattered holo micro glitter and holo flakies. My swatch pic is 3 coats plus a glossy top coat. Again great formula and no issues with staining to the cuticles or nail.

Secret Passageway

The final polish from the collection is 'Secret Passageway' this is a flakie topper packed full of loads of different flakies. I swatched this over a black polish and those flakies really pop off the nail, I did two coats just to really make those flakies pop. This polish is named after all the different ways you can get out of Hogwarts to Hogsmeade, Harry finds all of these when he is given the Marauders Map.

Overall I am totally in love with this collection, crellies are my all time favourite type of polish so it was always going to be a winner for me. The fact that they are all Harry Potter themed just makes it even better. My top 3 picks out of the collection are probably 'Shrieking Shack', The Three Broomsticks Inn' and 'Hogs Head Inn'. But honestly all of them are so beautiful.

Unfortunately at the moment the only one still in stock is Gladrags Wizardwear, but keep your eyes peeled on the Pampered Polishes Instagram for news of a restock. I had no issues when ordering to the UK and it arrived in about a week with no added custom charges.

I would love to know your thoughts on this collection?? Which one is your favourite?? Let me know in the comments. I will have some nail art looks coming up on my Instagram too! Hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you back here soon as I have some newbies from KiKi London Nail Gel to share with you.
