Funky Fresh Jelly Sandwich

Hello my lovely readers, well now that all the festivities are out of the way I can finally begin to breath again. I did have maybe five or six more Christmas manicures I wanted to get done, but I suppose they will have to wait until next year. After receiving Decembers Nailbox I was inspired to do a funky fresh manicure. I could not resist using Bloomsbury Way from Nails Inc as those pastel glitters were screaming out to me the minute I opened the box. Because I was happy with my Winter Jelly Sandwich I decided to try doing this with the Nails Inc Glitter.

First I started off with two coats of Essie's Marshmallow, this is a very sheer white jelly polish so it is perfect for creating jelly sandwiches. I love the different combinations you can create with just one polish, I also felt that white would be a perfect colour for that fresh feeling after all the dark reds and greens that have been showing up over Christmas.

Once both of those coats had fully dried I brushed on one coat of Nails Inc Bloomsbury Way, I did drain off some of the clear base and if I were to do this again I may even use a make-up sponge to apply the glitters as I think it would build up better.

The last step to completing my jelly sandwich was to add another coat of Essie's Marshmallow and then a layer of my HK Girl top coat to seal everything in. I am quite pleased with how this turned out, I do wish I had used the sponging method for the glitter layer as this Nails Inc does have a lot of clear base.

I hope you like my funky fresh manicure and would love to hear your thoughts, also I would love to see some of your New years mani's. Please feel free to leave a comment below and as always hope you are having a fabulous nail day. Speak to you all soon.
