Meebox September review- Sailor

Ahoy there mateys, today I have the review for September's Meebox this is my first time receiving the Meebox and I definitely wasn't disappointed. After seeing the great reviews about last months box the first thing I did at the beginning of this month was to subscribe.
The theme for this months box is sailor and I must say they nailed it, pun intended. When I first opened my box I was really impressed with the way it was packaged, there logo was plastered on the front and when I opened it there was this cute tissue paper with lots of colours, this just made me more excited to see what goodies where inside. To protect the polishes there are lots of paper worms to make sure they don't smash, it looked like they were laying on their own little nest which I thought was very sweet.

The first thing to catch my eye was the white wallet with nail-mail.co.uk in golden writing, after looking inside I found some straight line stencils. These will always come in handy to any nail artist and I will be using them for my sailor nails once I get around to it, when I clicked on the nail-mail site I found they did lots of different stencils and they have Halloween decal stencils on their site right now. I might even be picking some of these up myself for the many Halloween mani's I will more than likely be creating in October.
Next up was the ncla accent nail wraps I haven't actually tried a nail wrap myself, hopefully will be in the near future. But these I must say are adorable definitely sticking with the sailor theme that's for sure. Then there are these adorable golden anchor charms from She sells seashells, this is a really great site that sells tons of nail art supplies. I am loving the look of their Halloween section right now and my friend Becca over at A certain Becca nails recently reviewed their Halloween trick & treat box. Click the link to have a read she got tons of goodies for a great price, and if that't not fantastic enough She sells seashells also has the Uberchic mat in stock for £11 I will be purchasing one of these myself in the near future as I think it would make my homemade decals a lot easier to accomplish.
Anyway enough of my random ramblings lets get into what everyone is here for, the polish. The colours I must say are perfect for the theme and a lovely addition to my ever expanding nail polish collection. So the first one that caught my eye was this beautiful red with a golden shimmer from Crabtree & Evelyn, its called tomato but i must admit the first thing this reminded me of was leaves falling off the trees in autumn and that beautiful orangey gold colour they change into my picture does not do this polish justice. This polish is perfect for this time of year and I'm definitely going to be wearing it in the future months. This took two coats to be opaque and the golden shimmer does show up on the nail.
The next polish was a a brand I was familiar with having received one in a previous Nailbox, this is a Nailsinc gel effect polish in navy blue, perfect for the sailor theme. The name of this one is old Burlington street and it was opaque in two coats but I think you may even be able to get away with one thick coat. As with many blues i'm a bit worried this one may stain, if it does I shall let you all know.
Last but certainly not least is the white cream, this polish is called limitless and is from a UK indie maker called Cassella this is a new nail lacquer brand hand blended in Great Britain, they are toxin-free, cruelty free and only use EU approved cosmetic ingredients. Limitless is part of Collection X which includes five other beautiful pastel colours. I can officially say this is my first indie polish I own and it has a fantastic formula, opaque in two coats and as we all know you can never have too many white creams. They are good for everything, this was quite thick and I have a feeling it may even be good for stamping. I will be checking this out in the near future as finding a white to stamp with is always a huge bonus. Having been on the Cassella site I must say their are quite a few polishes from Collection X that take my fancy especially candy flossin' and I may be placing an order myself in the near future.
So all in all for my first Meebox I am highly impressed, Meebox is a subscription service just like Nailbox. It cost's £20 per month and has different theme's each month like Nailbox. On the 1st of the month you will be told the theme and then the box will be posted on the 22nd mine got to me in 3 days so that's not bad at all, I was also given a tracking number so I could see when my parcel was going to arrive. So far I am highly impressed with Meebox in total the price for all these products alone would have come to about £35 roughly so that is still a huge saving click here to subscribe now to grab your box for October.

I hope you have enjoyed this review and would love to know what you thought of your Meebox and all of these sailorific polishes. I can't wait to receive my box next month, my fingers are crossed for a Halloween theme. Hope everyone is having a great nail day and speak to you all soon.

P.S. Will hopefully upload my sailor nails shortly, if Lexi co-operates with me :-)

  1. So impressed with this! They did the theme so well, and gave you so many extra little nail art bits. Really like the look of all of the polishes, inspiring me to do a sailor mani myself. Can't wait to see what you come up with! I may end up subscribing if next month is Halloween x
