My Collection & Setup (1 Year Blogiversary)

Hello, my lovely readers, I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. This post is really special to me as yesterday 18th of September 2016 I have officially been blogging for 1 whole year. I am so shocked and happy that we have come this far, I could not have gotten here without all of you! All of your support and kindness has made this journey so enjoyable and fun for me. I love blogging, it is such a nice feeling having somewhere I can share all my thoughts and nail addiction madness with other people that love polish as much as myself. So for today's Blogiversary post I thought I would give you a little sneak peek behind the scenes and show you my nail polish collection and set up. So let us jump in!

My nail area is in a little corner of my bedroom, I have a desk, two helmers, my light box and a few other bits and bobs that help me create my manicures.

My two helmers are where I keep all of my bottle babies, they are all tucked up nice and snug inside each of the draws. To make my helmer's more personal and add that little touch of me I have used custom made vinyls from Toadarrific Vinyls. Teanna did such an amazing job in designing all of the vinyls for me, she also shipped to the UK for not too high a price which was a huge bonus for me. Each Helmer is labelled with which brand is inside. My first helmer is for mainstream and my second is for my indies.

In my mainstream helmer I have:

  • Butter London
  • China Glaze
  • Color Club
  • Cuccio
  • Essie
  • Models Own
  • OPI
  • Orly
  • Zoya
  • Drugstore polishes

I am planning to swatch each polish from each brand onto my nail wheels; when I do that I will give you a closer look at each individual polish. I do have a spreadsheet keeping track of all the polishes I own so I don't purchase dupes. This is also in order from A-Z by brand.

Then I have my Indie helmer, the first draw is for all my stamping supplies; stampers, scrapers, and polishes. The the rest are split into two 3 of the draw are for Worldwide indies and then the other two draws are my UK indies. All of these are also organised A-Z by brand, having them organised this way makes it so much easier for me when I wanting to find a specific polish.

I have so many indie brands that it would take up a whole page to write them all in, I do have a feeling I will have to have a small destash soon as I don't have enough room for another helmer, as I said I will give a better look at all the polishes when I begin swatching them. I just didn't want this post to be to picture heavy.

On top of my desk, I have my light box with my camera and two lamps, I have recently invested in an OTTlite I am hoping that this will help with the quality of my swatch pictures. To the left of my light box I have all of my Born Pretty stamping polishes, label maker and a lotion and cuticle oil to keep my nails nice and moisturised when taking pictures. Then on the right side, I keep my most recent polish hauls.

Then lastly below my desk are my two boxes full of nail art goodness, I have all of my nail art supplies in one and then my stamping plates in the other. I also have a stamping plate spreadsheet, so I can keep track of all the plates I own and what sort of images are on each one.

So there we have it if you have made it all the way to the bottom of this post, then I am sending you lots of hugs and love. Like I said this blog would not be the same without all of you amazing people. I really hope you have enjoyed this look behind the scenes, here is to many more fun years to come. As always have a fantastic nail day and I will chat to all you amazing people again soon.
